   Are prescription diet pills safe?

Because all prescription drugs included on this site are FDA approved, it can be assumed they are all safe. But this is no guarantee that they won't harm you -or- that they won't be considered 'unsafe' later on in the future. As with any prescription drug, always refer to important drug information and disclosures; including side effects, precautions, and drug interactions.

Many diet drugs are still suffering a loss of faith / reputation from the Fen Phen problems several years ago. This was when the fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine used in conjunction with Phentermine, caused some cases of heart disease. Phentermine used alone has never been shown produce heart disease.
